About GRI
What is GRI?
The GRI designation is a mark of distinction that earns a REALTOR® respect and confidence from their peers and the general public. Graduates are recognized nationwide for competence and expertise.
As a REALTOR® board, association or firm, you may host a GRI Core Course. To host a GRI Core Course:
1. Contact an approved instructor.
For a list of all eligible instructors and the GRI Core Courses they teach, click here.
2. Once you and the instructor have agreed upon a date and class start time, complete the ONLINE REQUEST FORM. (Select “GRI Core Course.”)

Receive a GRI-host bonus in the amount of the early bird fee when 11 students sign up for a GRI Core Course. For each student after 11, sponsors will receive 20% back for each additional student’s registration fee.
As a REALTOR® board, association or firm, you may also host any NAR designation and certification course (click here for list). These courses count as GRI Required Elective Courses. To sponsor one of these courses, complete the ONLINE REQUEST FORM. GAR will assist with selecting eligible instructors.

Credits Earned and/or Requirements Met
Combine the two GRI Core Courses of “Risk Management” and “Skill Building” and earn Sales Post-License credit instead of CE credit for each individual course. Combining these two courses has been approved by the GREC as if the two courses were one combined course for Sales Post-License credit. (In-class exam required – passing score of 75% or higher average for the combined courses.) Click here for details.
Each two-day GRI Core Course (“Risk Management” or “Skill Building”) will satisfy your NAR Code of Ethics membership requirement.
- GRI Sales Post-License Course (Skill Building and Risk Management combined) now satisfies the Georgia License Law education requirement – as of November 6, 2018.
- GRI Core Course – Risk Management, when taken for CE credit, now satisfies the Georgia License Law education requirement – as of October 28, 2018.
